Holly M. Stafford earned her B.A. from
Western Washington University’s Fairhaven College in 2001 with an interdisciplinary
concentration focused on The Social Construction of Women in Film. In 2007 she
graduated summa cum laude from Whittier Law School, being named to the Dean’s List
all three years. While at Whittier she received a number of scholarships including
the Dean’s Merit Full Tuition Scholarship and the Foundation of the State Bar of
California Scholarship. She was a Legal Writing Teaching Assistant for two years
and earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for the highest grade in
Constitutional Law I, Corporations, Gay and Lesbian Parenting, Professional
Responsibility and Moot Court.
In Moot Court she was named Best Overall Competitor at the Fall 2005 Sonnenberg
Competition and Fifth Best Oralist of the Preliminary Rounds at the 2007 McGee
Civil Rights Competition. Ms. Stafford was also a Law Review Member and
Solicitations Editor, and published an article in the Whittier Journal of Child and
Family Advocacy. In her spare time, she volunteered for Orangewood Children’s Home,
Lambda Legal and numerous on campus organizations, leading to a Dean’s Citation
Award for Leadership and Service to the Law School Community upon graduation.
Ms. Stafford is a native of the Pacific Northwest and a spectator sport
enthusiast, with her primary focus on women’s basketball and soccer. She is
admitted to practice in the State of California, the U.S. District Court for the
Central District of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
