Aaron M. Fontana received his Juris
Doctorate from Southwestern Law School in 2006. At Southwestern, Mr. Fontana was on
the Dean’s List and was an Associate Editor of the Southwestern University Law
Review.
Mr. Fontana graduated from Michigan State University in 1994. Prior to joining
Franscell, Strickland, Roberts & Lawrence, he was a journalist and editor, working for
a variety of publications including Best Publishing. He was also a reporter for
the United States’ West Coast bureau of the Japanese daily newspaper, Yomiuri
Shimbun.
Mr. Fontana was working full time as a Senior Editor for Best Publishing when
he began attending Southwestern’s evening program in the fall of 2003. Subsequently,
he transferred to Southwestern’s day program and externed full time for the Honorable
Dean D. Pregerson in the Central District of California. In his last semester, Mr.
Fontana received a grade point average of above 4.0 and, additionally, assisted the
Student Bar Association in bringing back the defunct Southwestern student newspaper,
The Commentator, acting as its Editor in Chief. During this semester, he also
externed part time for the Honorable Sheri Bluebond, a bankruptcy judge in the Central
District.
